USA Mahjong is a tile-matching game based on Chinese Mahjong that features themed backdrops and tiles related to life in the United States. The themed tiles include images of red, white and blue items commonly used in America during patriotic holidays and events, different colors and styles of cowboy boots, and various popular U.S. foods, landmarks and sports gear. The player's goals are to clear each level of tiles to unlock the next one and earn the highest score possible. The game offers 50 fun levels of play!
The player receives five minutes to clear each playfield of tiles. They can only remove tiles that have matching items. They can't pair tiles layered underneath other tiles or positioned between left and right tiles. When they select a tile, the game highlights it in blue. If they select a matching one, both tiles turn blue. If the player selects the wrong tile, both tiles turn red.
USA Mahjong provides a hint tool as well, in the form of a lightbulb button. The player receives one free hint that turns a single pair of tiles yellow. If they want additional hints, they must view advertising videos. If they remove all tiles before time runs out, fireworks burst across the background, and the game unlocks the next level of play.
